Wilson described the collaboration with Allen as “the truly single worst experience I’ve ever had with a co-star.” This revelation comes from her guest-starring role in the pilot episode of “The Santa Clauses,” which premiered in November 2022. The series serves as a sequel to Allen’s well-known movies: “The Santa Clause” (1994), “The Santa Clause 2” (2002), and “The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause” (2006).
The Intruder Scene
Recalling a specific scene, Wilson shared that she and Allen were shooting a sequence where she, mistakenly perceiving him as a burglar, throws things at him as he descends the chimney. The discomfort arose when Allen approached a producer, standing just feet away, complaining that Wilson was “stepping on his lines.” The producer had the unenviable task of conveying Allen’s request to Wilson.
Walking on Eggshells
Wilson noted that tension lingered on set, with everyone seemingly walking on eggshells around Allen. She described the atmosphere as frantic, and when the shooting concluded, Allen exhibited rude behavior, refusing eye contact and leaving the set without acknowledging cast or crew.
An Abrupt Exit
After completing a close-up shot, Allen abruptly exited the set, announcing his departure and casually dropping his Santa cape on the floor. His stand-in, described as a more amiable presence, swiftly replaced him.

Wilson concluded her account with an anonymous remark from someone, possibly a crew member, who casually mentioned, “You’re seeing him on a good day.” The blog has reached out to Tim Allen’s representative for a comment on the matter.
