In the year 2023, the trio of Ada Sharma, Sudipto Sen and Vipul Shah, who made headlines with the controversial film ‘The Kerala Story’, has returned again. The teaser of his film ‘Bastar’ has been released. The director of this film is Sudipto Sen, while Vipul Shah is its creative director and producer. Looking at the 1 minute and 15 second trailer, it is clear that the makers are once again preparing to stir up political controversy with their film. This is because in the teaser, Adah Sharma’s character, in the name of Naxalites, calls Delhi-based Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) a sympathizer of Naxalites and talks about shooting leftists on the streets.

The teaser starts with the character of an IPS officer Neerja Madhavan, played by Adah Sharma. After this, in a monologue of about 1 minute, she talks about going against the Naxalites at all costs and uprooting them. The makers claim that this film is based on a true incident. And even before the start of the teaser, he also announces that this film is an offering by the brave filmmakers of ‘The Kerala Story’.

Called JNU a sympathizer of Naxalites.

In the teaser video, Adah Sharma is in the look of a soldier. She says, ‘8738 of our soldiers have been martyred in 4 wars with Pakistan. But do you know that Naxalites have killed 15,000 soldiers in our country? 76 of our soldiers were brutally killed by Naxalites in Bastar. And then it was celebrated in JNU. Imagine, such a prestigious university of our country celebrates the martyrdom of our soldiers. Where does such thinking come from? These Naxalites are conspiring to disintegrate India in Bastar and the leftist liberal false intellectuals sitting in big cities are supporting them.

Talk of making leftists stand on the road and shooting them

This character of Adah Sharma does not stop here. She further says, ‘I will make the leftists stand on the road and shoot them publicly. To be hanged. I, Neerja Madhavan, am standing in the war against Naxal. Jai Hind.’

The court had reprimanded ‘The Kerala Story’

Apparently, the kind of claims that ‘Bastar: The Naxal Story’ is making have directly targeted the country’s leftists and JNU. The film has been directed by ‘The Kerala Story’ fame Sudipto Sen. Whereas its story has been written by Amarnath Jha, Sudipto Sen and Vipul Shah. Last year also during ‘The Kerala Story’ there was a lot of uproar over the claims of the film. The makers had given such figures of people, especially women, migrating from Kerala and joining terrorist organizations, which was also reprimanded by the court. Whereas later the makers took a U-turn and not only removed the figures but also said that their film is fictional.
